More worrying news from the NHS/NICE

Hi all,

Hope you’re all well. Just found a reference to this article on the Barts blog:

I think this is very likely to affect any new MS drugs, as they’re all quite expensive - so even more rationing than there is currently.

But why is there nothing from the MS Society about it on this forum? According to the BBC article, a consultation has been run for the past three months.

thank you jo

your post is very informative.

sadly it seems that now is the wrong time to have an illness like ms.

what with PIP applications being turned down on the slightest thing and now the possibility of DMTs not being available.

think i’ll have to go and eat worms.

I like jelly worms, though???

8 years of so called ‘Disease Modifying Drugs’ did nothing for me.

So I really don’t care if the funding for failed MS drugs is axed.

I’m positive, and happy to wait for a cure.

Fay

hah! roobs

i haven’t had any jelly worms in years.

must look out for them.

a rousing chorus of “nobody loves me, everybody hates me, i think i’ll go and eat worms”

now i’ve passed this ear worm on, i’ll leave you with it!

What! No big ones, small ones, fat ones, skinny ones, worms that squiggle and squirm???

I remember silly school rhymes too…I am still a child looking after my children…poor things!

Find some pick n mix and indulge, I did at the cinema the other week…milk teeth, gummy bears, strawberry bootlaces, cola bottles…you get the picture…

Marks and Spencer used to stock jelly worms, don’t know if they still do!

Um I believe so. (Feeling a tad guilty here!) And then there’s Haribo … I wish I had some jelly worms. But that’s where the rot starts. First it’s a few jelly worms, then it’s a tiny bag of M&S jelly sweeties, then before you know it, a full bag of Haribo a day. Just say no. It’s like any narcotic, easy to get hooked but murder to detox and ditch the filthy habit.
