Moisture Lesion

Hi all,

I was wondering whether anyone has been treated for a moisture lesion on the bottom.

The district nurses were treating it as a pressure sore and now the head lead has said no its not it is a moisture lesion

A moisture lesion is down to excessive moisture, usually through incontinence (I apologise if this is not your reason) & a pressure sore is due to heavy pressure on specific areas. Moisture lesions usually don’t affect areas where bones are present, they affect areas that have relatively low pressure on them. Incontinence pads can be a contributor to them. Hope this helps Tracey x
