Mobility Scooter Trailer Hitch

I hope someone can help me and I seem to be hitting a brick wall, my problem is I’ve recently purchased a CareCo Vegas RS8 mobility Scooter and I want to tow a small trailer, the scooter is not fitted with a trailer hitch receiver does anyone know of a bolt on device or solution to solve this problem. This should be similar to vehicle towbars and trailers that I used to work on years ago

Try searching for 'mobility scooter towbar’instead of hitch.

This one looks ok and gets some decent reviews …

It may take some thought to how to set it up securely on your scooter.

Hi Jon, thanks for your input but the problems that the Vegas RS8 doesn’t have the central 2" square section tube that that hitch plugs into. I’m trying to find a manufacturer that finds a solution to provide that tube (receiver ).

Good morning Tony.

No worries mate. I’m sure I saw something that attaches the trailer coupling to the seat mechanism on the scooter but, I can’t remember where I saw it.

Would it be worth contacting one of the firms that do disabled adaptations to motorbility cars? It might not come cheap but, it should be a good job.
