Listening to Jeremy Vine yesterday, talking about mini pigs, when a caller phoned to say they are the best thing since sliced bread…made me almost choke on my drink as another caller had just suggested that they should be bacon rather than pets!..seemed that Jeremy missed it, had me chuckling on and off the rest of the day.
they do look loveable those micro pigs.
i still enjoy bacon though and would feel bad eating one of their relatives.

amuse bouche…maybe! it just tickled me, the two comments so close together. Afraid I love both, pigs and bacon butties…it’s just not right is it? I used to go and visit the pig at a local craft centre,was very disappointed to find he wasn’t there one day, natural causes I think, he was quite old.
Amuses me!! Little pigs are truly a lovely (if slightly ‘wrong’) thing. And a good bacon sarnie is also a delight. But then all baby animals (and most small varieties of apart from dogs you put in a handbag!) are lovely. Including those which are very nice to eat. I’m thinking particularly of lambs. Apologies to all vegetarians.
