Medication for PPMS

Hi

after reading a lot of posts regarding PPMS nearly everyone is on some form of medication. I was diagnosed a year ago with RRMS but has now changed to PPMS. Is it normal to be without medication ?

My symptoms are balance issues, lack of sleep, restless leg syndrome especially at night, fatigue (no energy).

I should mention overactive bladder but that is under control or just got used to it.

Thanks.

Hi there.

From my personal point of view, (PPMS diagnosed) I’ve chosen to go the none medicated way.

Some call it holistic, yet I supplement with multi vitamins. B’s & C’s. I’ve also been trialling the use of menthol vapors & eating plenty of nuts. Cashew, Walnut & Brazil. Eggs & mushrooms are good too.

I’m quite sensitive to medication & there is no known cure for any type of MS.

I know of others who take many forms of medications for various illnesses. Get out doors & break some bones. It will toughen you up for the progressive future of MS. You’ll find out how bad that can be, but we are all different & even the experts can’t predict your immune systems power.

Helping your own body, could work. It helps me.

Take it easy & avoid heat. 18 degrees is a good temperature for me.

Cooling down when you have dizzy spells with a fan is the business & keeping the zones clear of clutter.

Olive oil, essential oil massages, breathing deep to some Barry White. Whatever floats your boat.
