Morning guys.

District nurse has been this morning. A follow up check of my big toenail. I had a nurse come last Thursday, as it was very painful and a bit yeuky looking.

So today it is a bit clearer, but the nail itself is very discoloure. Nurse said she is a bit worried and would like podiatry to see it. So she is referring me for that.

Then she asked all about my condition/history. She was so interested in how I am mentally dealing with it all. I told her i am finally settled after 14 years of tests and stuff, that I may never know what has caused my spastic paraparesis.

Next she asked about my heels and bum pressure areas. She wants me to try a new mattress and wheelie cushion, to make it more comfy for me. She is also getting me some different heel protectors and dressings for my toe.

Then we talked about support sox…she needs to speak to my GP about those.

So I am feeling so fortunate to be so well looked after.

it may be a chuff to have to be immobile like I am, but at least my support system is good.

have a good day all.

luv Pollx
