lhermittes sign and problem in neck

Hi can anyone tell me if lhermittes sign could indicate a flare/new damage I haven’t had it for a long time last time I had demyelination from C2 to C6 but I have recently been taking very high dose of Gabapentin for trigeminal neuralgia could that cause it? and I suppose my last question is can trigeminal neuralgia be caused by demyelination in the neck? I know the normal causes of TN, compression of the nerve by the artery, or a plaque Thanks

I just did a google (yes, the dreaded google!) and came across this:

So it looks as if gabapentin can in some people cause l’hermittes sign.

thank you that’s interesting especially as I am 59 and have been taking it for about 3 months

I don’t know if you’ve seen this thread? I happened to read it just before I read your reply. The poster wrote about what had worked for her TN, so might be an alternative to gabapentin perhaps.
