I should know better than to let this bother me and I’ve commented on this on this forum in the past.
A couple of former colleagues, both of whom I tutored, have gone out for lunch today, I know because they’ve shared it on Facebook.
Why does it bother me?
Because they’ve repeatedly promised to include me.
The last time they did must be six years ago.
My husband would take me and collect me, so they don’t have to worry about getting me and my wheelchair around.
I don’t twitch, dribble or smell, and am careful about my menu choices so that I can feed myself without making a mess.
I’ve tried to let it go, but when it’s thrust in my face on Facebook that’s quite hard. Perhaps I should just unfriend or unfollow them, but in the meantime and right now I hope it chokes them!
Hi Flowerpot, your ‘friends’ are unkind and insensitve. I would ‘like’ their fb comments and say you hoped they enjoyed their outing. It does hurt, but try to find friends who wont do this.

Thanks Bouds. Wise words as always.
I’m not going to Like their posts though.
I really believe they’ve no idea how insensitive they are or how much it’s hurt me.
But I’m less bothered today. I’ll get over it. XX
