ISC question

Hi all,

I’ve been told by my continence nurse to do ISC each night before I go to bed due to retention.

My question to those who also do this is do you still need to get up in the night to go to the loo?

My nurse said I would get better night’s sleep but sometimes I’m still getting up 2 or 3 times.

I’m also finding I’m leaking more during the day than before I started ISC.

I am also taking solifenacin when I get up.

Any thoughts?

Hi, this sounds familiar. I do mine before going to bed and occasionally still get up during the night. I also use the catheter couple of times during the day especially if im going out and still sometimes leak. Iv been using them for about 10 years and dont have a continence nurse anymore so not sure if its normal. Sorry not much help im afraid

I use four in the day and one at night! I’m also on solifenacin too. Teresa xx

Teresa can I ask what is the solifenacin please??

Solifenacin is a drug used for an overactive bladder - I have found it to be very effective. Teresa xx
