Been struggling with an infection of some sort, does anyone know what this means White blood cells and blood traces in urine. Been given antibiotics Numbness in neck been out down to muscle spasm…no signs of relapse. Doctor given me steriods but ms nurse said don’t take them…last time stopped steriods felt rubbish. So bit reluctant to stop without lowering dose each day. Find it bizarre that numbness in neck not a relasp. Has anyone else had this…prob so etching and nothing but thought I’d ask…you guys are always top at info.

Seems like you’ve got a kidney infection, which is why your taking the antibiotics.
ms nurse has stopped steroids because they could compromise immune response. I can’t understand why they didn’t explain this.
Should have taken someone with me to appointment for notes. Felt so rubbish couldn’t think straight, so didn’t really understand what they were saying. Thank you for explaining I appreciate it. Back to bed and lots of water xxxx
Its horrible when you don’t feel well. I’m not surprised you couldn’t think straight, with the infection in your system.
Hopefully you’ll start feeling better soon, once the antibiotics work their magic.

Nowt like an infection to make you feel rough! The white blood cells are evidence that your body is trying to fight an infection, and th eblood in your urine it typical of a urine infection. As Blossom said, taking steroids must be stopped when you have an infection as they temporarily suppress your immune system, which isn’t good when you’re needing it for the infection.
Drink plenty of water while the antibiotics do their thing. Taking cranberry pills (rather than the juice) is meant to be good for general bladder health.
