I'm in the top 10

I applied for my 1st ground floor flat last week as advised by 2 different consultants. The flat is in an area and street which I really really want to move too and just found out that out of the several 100 that have applied for the property I am in the top 10.

I wont find out if I am succesful for another 2-3 weeks and I really hopwe I get it as I have a cousin who lives near it and her son goes to the school at the end of the road and my aunt is always picking him up from school so is regularly in the area.

It would be an ideal flat for me so all I can do is hope for the best

Jon, why not ask your gp if he could help you get that flat? Its worth a try, plus your MP. Im sure a word from them they would move you further up the list.

Lets hope all goes well -Jon. This is good news - and you are in the Top Ten and it is your first application - So if you don’t succeed this time you certainly will very soon.

Make sure - as Bren said - get all the support you can from GP/MP/ Local Councillor etc. Get them all on your side - cos we all are!!

Thanks girls my GP has said that he will help me to get a place of my own and he is aware of my dislike of living at home and that I get on beter with my aunt and cousins so I will try and get an appt topmorrow explain the situation and see what he can do.

But getting an appointment with my GP is a feet in itself you call at 08:00 to make an appt for the same day and usually the line is engaged and by the time you get through all the appts are gone

He is a very nice Dr though so helpful and kinda cute too

A tip for you.

Does your doc do telephone appointments? Mine does and it is easier to get them than going in person.

Yes Cheryl I used to be Jon Wrigt666 and my avatar was of Raggamuffin, he’s my favorite comic book charecter. When I joined the site I didn’t quite realise how the site worked aso just put my name down.

Then I read a post that mentioned changing your name so I thought I’d change it.

I saw GP today and he’s going to draft me another letter suggesting that I be re-located to a more suitable flat so I will now have 3 different doctors saying that I should be rehoused that will hopefully be in my favour and help me to move out

I have no idea how to contact my local MP

I see, I didn’t know that was Ragamuffin, I’m not into comic book characters myself, well done on changing your name, not sure I’d manage that tbh. These letters should help you, I bet it seems like a long wait till you hear! Cheryl:-)
