Hoping someone will be able to help with some advice. My wife has been referred to the Walton centre for an MS assessment, but their wait time is 30 odd weeks. We therefore want to get a private initial consultation with one of the consultants at the Walton, with a view to moving back to their NHS list in due course.
We have contacted the Walton, who have told us they don’t have anything to do with non NHS referrals, but they haven’t given any indication of how to get a private consultation. Our GP has written us a private referral letter, but has said it is basically up to us to sort out the private consultation off our own back.
How do we go about contacting one of the consultants to arrange a consultation? We have found some of the consultants on the BUPA website - do we go through them or is there some other way to do it? I know some people on here have arranged private consultations with consultants who work at the Walton, so I am hoping someone who has been through the experience will be able to help us.
