How long for MRI results??

Hi there, ive got trouble walking, pain in my chest on the left side occasionally, Pins and needles in my left arm and hand and today, im so dizzy and can hardly walk, went for an MRI last friday, how long til i get the results??? X

The Dr who requested the MRI should get the results within 2 weeks of the MRI, you should give their office a call after that to see if they have the results and if they can tell you over the phone.

Hi, i normally get a letter around 4 or 5 weeks after the event, but that might vary from region to region.

I had one mid May and am still waiting for the results. It’s not taken this long before. I chased the department on Friday and they said to contact my consultant. I’m assuming everything is just taking longer than usual in the NHS at the moment.

I had mine done on 29th June and it’s not been looked at yet. Apparently in my area it’s a 3 month wait on results, I’m also on urgent neurology list and that’s 18months :pensive:
