I recently went to MS physio,she took note of medication,and immeditally told me to cut down and eventually stop dantrolene,a muscle reaxant,it was affecting my legs ver bad,what a diffrence since i stopped it,now working on trying to get legs back in working order,y do gps not follow up on these drugs,and maybe notice that legs bad,totally lost confidence in GP now
NO - GPs generally do not follow up on prescribed medication. but you can always ask a pharmacist to look at what you take and “comment”.
One overall problem is that the prescribing guidelines will list the interaction between drug “A” and drug “B”. What they do not do is to show this interaction in the presence of drug “C”, or when someone is also on “X”, “Y”, and “Z”.
