Good explanation of criteria for dx of MS

This is a good, short and understandable article on the criteria needed to get diagnosed with MS.

It’s American, but as far as I can see it all applies to UK as well.

Thanks Pat, I had evoked potential and a lumbar puncture yesterday.

This may be a dumb question but does having a lesion in the same place but BOTH sides of the brain count as a two lesions in different places does anyone know?

I think that’d be transverse myelitis, but I could be wrong.

[/quote] Yeah, I think the transverse myelitis is where the lesions are in the spine only and the brain is clear (but I’m only going on what someone told me!)
