Hi,
bit of a flat Monday kind of day. I’m feeling pretty lonely and a bit sad. I’ve been diagnosed 2 years now. My main symptom is imbalance and fatigue. Bad days outweigh the good at the minute and just looking for people who understand what I’m feeling x

Hello, I think pretty much everyone has those days. I like to get outside if just to sit with some breakfast. Sometimes after being diagnosed there are so many questions running through your mind and sometimes can go on for a number of years. We all can have a bad day or period where stuff doesn’t feel great. Its important to try to not let the feeling consume you and do something you really enjoy anything maybe swimming or out with friends.
Good luck, sure everything will work out.

Hi @vickydavison , really sorry to hear about your bad Monday kind of day.
My guess is that pretty much all of us MS folk have bad days and runs of bad days. Having MS is enough to get even the most optimistic and cheery people down at times!
Happy to chat and share etc. In my case I was diagnosed some 19 years ago, I struggle with walking and use a scooter when out and about.
I’m just wondering if you live in one of the high temperature areas of the UK? Heat can make everything that much harder to do and make symptoms, including balance and fatigue, much worse. I struggle in the heat but years ago , in pre MS days, I moved to Scotland where really hot days are mercifully few and far between.

@vickydavison Hi there, you are not alone with the flat days, we all get them from time to time, especially with what we are dealing with every day.
If it makes you feel better, today I got in the car after work and thought how the hell do I get it to drive, sat there for 2 minutes completely lost, I had to get out and back in to reset, then when I got home I couldn’t open the lounge door as I was pulling not pushing.
It could be the heat making things worse for you, or you could even be under the weather but know you are not alone. When I get days like this, I turn up the radio, lie on the setee and shut my brain off for a while.

Hi Vicky, I’m really sorry you’re having such a tough day.
You’re definitely not alone, and I think many people in this community understand exactly how you’re feeling. MS can be incredibly isolating, especially when fatigue and balance issues make it harder to get out and do the things you enjoy.
Some days are simply about getting through one step at a time, and that’s okay. On my difficult days, I’ve found it helps to be kind to myself, rest when I need to, and stay connected with people who understand what living with MS is really like. Even chatting in forums like this can make a difference.

Sending you a big virtual hug. I hope tomorrow is a little brighter for you, and remember—you don’t have to face this journey on your own.
