how many of you out there have shakey eyes??? mind are pretty bad again at the mo they shake rapidly from side to side for what seems like ages but prob is only couple of secs I’m not dx yet n when I went to the eye clinic the other day I totally forgot to mention it "/ just wondering if its quite a common thing/symptom or perhaps something I should be mentioning to someone somewhere lol Thanx keep safe Lou
Hi Lou
I can get this, I find the eye exercises recommended by my physio really help. Would it be possible for you to talk to your MS nurse or GP about it? They can refer you to physio or wherever they think will help.
My exercises, which may or may not help you are:
1. Keep your head still and pointing forward, by moving your eyes look as far to the right as you can, keeping your head still move your eyes so that you are now looking as far to the left as you can, move your eyes to look right again. Repeat 10 times.
2. Look straight ahead and put your finger about 12 inches straight in front of the middle of your eyes. This time keep your eyes still and by rotating your head look at the finger out of the left corner of your eye, rotate your head so you are now looking at the finger out of the right corner, rotate your head back so that you are now looking out of the left corner again. Repeat 10 times.
Do the exercises at least once a day or 2 to 3 times a day if you can.
Hope this makes sense and good luck!

hi Anne I don’t have an MS nurse as I’m not dx yet but I will certainly give the excercises a try can’t hurt to try now can it Lou
Hi Lou
I hesitated to pass on the exercises as we are all so different but I couldn’t see how they could do any harm
Glad you could understand what you were supposed to do.
Good Luck!

Hi AnnieB
My own MS effects my left eye only, so yes I agree with you that we are ALL so different … but it cant hurt to try Anything in the way of eye excercises for people with MS .
Except maybe it is best NOT doing the crossed eye look as a self-excercise. Because you never seem to get served at a bar when you look at people like that. (something to do with not catching thier eye for service I belive)
Have Fun people
