I saw the neurologist today and my latest MRI was normal so happily and confidently I can say I do not have MS. I am being diagnosed with ‘CFS with neurological complications caused by an inflamed CNS’. I also have Cervical Spondylitis and Propriospinal Myoclonus.
I’m being prescribed Pregabalin for now to help with the symptoms as it might be better than the gabapentin.
Well, I’m happy - I feel this is a proper working diagnosis and I’m being taken seriously. They seem very keen to help me feel better.
Thanks for all the supportive messages I’ve received over the last year+
Happy New Year Deb. Glad for you that it’s definitely not MS and that they are making efforts on you behalf to help. Hope the Pregabalin makes a difference and that you start to feel better. I am pleased for you that you’re being taken seriously and that you know what you’re dealing with at last. Teresa xx
Happy New Year Deb xx So glad that you are happy with what you have found out today. Being taken seriously and having help etc. is what you need and deserve. There are a couple of things you said, I haven’t heard of I wish you all the best for feeling better with the correct treatments and help now Sam xx
Think I might stick around on here for a bit because at the end of the day whatever the diagnosis I’m still a buzzing, jerking, spasming, exhausted friend of you all
Wow - it’s amazing what a diagnosis of any sort does - via a sicknote I’m going to work half-time for this term teaching only Years 10 and 11 in order to try and recuperate!
I’m so pleased with your lovely comments above - thank you so much, I’ll definitely stick around, there’s no other forum like this one. Be proud
