Another one of those days I wish I hadn’t got out of bed.
Several months ago I realised that my driving licence was due for renewal in March… but on reading the blurb, it clearly stated that the DVLA would send the reminder and forms 90 days before licence was due to expire. So of course what with a lot of other stuff going on and the good 'ol cog-fog, I forgot about it…
It was only when I had to dig my licence out for something else and happened to look at it, I realised **** it expires next week and I haven’t recevied any reminder or forms from the DVLA!
So I went to see if I could renew it online.
Put in health condition. NOPE, MS not one of the conditions that is on the online application system.
Ferreted around for a phone number, had to google it. Tried several times to call. “All lines are busy, please see our website for further information.” Eh no, I can’t find the information I need on your website WHICH IS WHY I AM TRYING TO PHONE YOU. No voicemail, no queue, just cut you off.
So I found an online option where you can request a renewal form, but you can’t download them, no they post them to you and it takes 7-10 days!
Unbelievable.
