**Ear Infection**
This is so true!

**They always ask at the doctor’s reception why you are there, and you**
**have to answer in front of others what’s wrong and sometimes it is**
**embarrassing.**

**There’s nothing worse than a Doctor’s Receptionist who insists you**
**tell her what is wrong with you, in a room full of other patients. I**
**know most of us have experienced this, and I love the way this old guy**
**handled it.**

**A 75-year-old man walked into a crowded waiting room and approached**
**the desk. The Receptionist said, 'Yes sir, what are you seeing the**
**Doctor for today?'**

**‘There’s something wrong with my willy’, he replied.**

**The receptionist became irritated and said, 'You shouldn’t come into a**
**crowded waiting room and say things like that. '**

**‘Why not, you asked me what was wrong and I told you,’ he said.**

**The Receptionist replied; 'Now you’ve caused some embarrassment in**
**this room full of people.**
**You should have said there is something wrong with your ear or**
**something, and discussed the problem further with the Doctor in**
**private.'**

**The man replied, 'You shouldn’t ask people questions in a roomful of**
**strangers if the answer could embarrass anyone. The man then decided to**
**walk out, waited several minutes, and then re-entered.**

**The Receptionist smiled smugly and asked, ‘Yes??’**

**‘There’s something wrong with my ear,’ he stated.**

**The Receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken**
**her advice.**
**‘And what is wrong with your ear, Sir?’**

**‘I can’t wee out of it,’ he replied.**

**The waiting room erupted in laughter.**
**Mess with seniors and you’re going to lose!**

Hope you liked it.

Great joke Shazzie.

Carole that so reminds me of something that happened to me. I was on the bus with my sample bottle wrapped up inside my handbag. So not to miss my stop I stood up before the bus stopped and dropped my handbag. Of course out rolled the sample bottle all the way from the back of the bus down towards the door with me in hot pursuit with a very red face.I couldn’t get off the bus quickly enough!

Glad you liked it Sue, Dinks, Janet and Theresa. And Carole, that is so funny. Doctors receptionists are a pain aren’t they? Mind you I used to be one about ten years ago and was really conscious of not causing embarrassment. They don’t seem to worry now.

Have a lovely day. It’s sunny here in Bristol. Hope it is where you are.

This reminds me of a ‘humorous’ birthday card l bought - lt was a picture of a GP Reception area - and an old geezer had pee’d through the letter box. The caption was ‘l see Mr Barnes - has posted his urine sample again’. The card was for my uncle George [Barnes].

l’ve just had a stay in hospital - and l was using a plastic bottle to empty my SPC into - one of the nurses thought it was apple juice.

Oh dear Fran that is funny. Good job the nurse didn’t have a crafty sip while you were sleeping.

Hope you are doing ok.
