I am only on Amitripyline, but they have helped a lot, before I took them had very stiff legs with burning in calfs which made walking very difficult. This was a new symptom, so could it be classed as a relapse? Any how, due to go back to see Nuero in Nov, and was thinking should I carry on taking these drugs if they are ‘masking’ my bad legs?

I don’t think you should stop any drugs just because you’re going to the neuro. Diagnosis isn’t made on symptoms alone anyway, so how stiff your legs are on that particular day isn’t likely to influence the outcome one way or the other.
Just tell him that your legs WERE very stiff, but have since been better. I’m not sure amitriptyline treats stiffness anyway, although it probably would help with the burning pain.
So it might be that your legs have got less stiff by themselves, which probably would indicate a relapse and subsequent recovery, yes.
