Great stuff Jo, sorry I was a little slow replying.

The railcard is also something that’s mentioned on this website (under travel by train).

I found they didn’t reply to me over email and I had to call them. Hopefully you’ll get your card soon. Don’t let them fob you off with 1 year, you are entitled to a 3 year card.

Cheers
Rich

No worries. I had some free time the other day and went ahead and applied. I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained 🙂 Got my 3 year digital railcard 2 days later. I didn’t have to speak to anyone, I just emailed. (See post above for more details.) Maybe the message is getting through to them!

Thanks
Jo

I’ve had my 3 year railcard approved too 👍 I did it over the phone after having emailed them a letter proving my diagnosis and had no problems at all! Just need to get back to the office now…

Thanks to all the advice on here I applied for the railcard two days ago. I just clicked on the first category (DLA I think it was) and when it asked me to upload proof of DLA allowance I just uploaded my letter stating my diagnosis. 36 hours later got an email saying my 3 year card is being issued and will be posted with 5 days. Very easy.

Hi @Hope33 and to everyone else that contributed in this thread. This is a great example of sharing information that if we didn’t so many of us would be in the dark. I’m still on my MS diagnosis journey, no pun intended 🤣 but knowing what is out there should I need it, so certainly helpful.
