Hi all
I have SPMS and just started Fampyra. I was looking around for a different supplier and found Dickson chemist.
Has anyone tried Fampyra from them?
Thanks

I get Fampyra from Dickson’s, prescription via Clinic 158 also in Glasgow. I’ve had 1 month supply unfortunately, don’t notice much difference in walking. Decided to get Fampyra for another month just in case and then I’ll see. My prescription has gone to Dickson’s today. I think Dickson’s charges around £250. Someone on this forum said that they get it from Healthcare at home for £180.
Anyway, I would probably not be that concerned about the price had the drug made a significant difference. I’m still hoping that it will. I’m SP (‘mild’ according to my neuro) around 5.% on EDSS.
Hope you have a good luck with Fampyra.
Regards.
Thanks. Glad to find somebody else buying it from them.
Its actually £240 for 56tabs (2 mths supply) from Dickson’s.
From Healthare at home its £180 for 28tabs (1 mths supply) as far as I know. So its significantly more expensive.

I’m about to start taking Fampyra. What is the correct dosage? My understanding is two capsules daily, twelve hours apart. Therefore, 56 capsules are one month’s su.pply.
You’re exactly right. You need to take them on an empty stomach.
I though Biogen were offering and months free trial to see if the stuff works?

In one of my posts I mistakenly said that Dickson’s supply 2mths for £240. Its actually 1mths supply - 56tabs - for £240.
Forgot that you take 2 tabs a day…
Sorry about the mistake everybody (it was Friday evening…)

Healthcare at Home and BUPA Homecare are both doing a free month’s trial and then Fampyra for £190 a month (ish, I think Healthcare at home is slightly cheaper)
