Could you share your second attack story and treatment?

Hello,
I had Optic Neuritis as a first attack. It’s now recovered. I was on azathioprine (Imuran) for a long time until I got Hepatitis (A). I think my immune system was very weak then due to azathioprine. Now, my doctor advised me to stop taking azathioprine and I did.

I’d like to know what could be the medication of the second attack (Just curious). Currently, I’m diagnosed with Clinically Isolated Syndrome (CIS) which means one attack only.
Did your doctor put you on solumedrol ( IV steroids ) once again when you had the second attack?
What happens after the second attack is recovered, were you on azathioprine too? or interferon beta 1-a (Avonex)? or something else?

Could you share your story briefly, please? Thank you for your time
I’m not a doctor but I’m interested in MS an I would like to know everything about it.

Thank you all and hope you’re doing well. God bless you and Merry Christmas

Not diagnosed at this point. My first attack was vertigo that left me bed ridden for a week and four weeks to get back to a worth while state but I was dragging my right foot. Just a month or so after I was up and moving again I ended up being ambulanced into hospital suspecting I had had a stroke because my entire right side had dropped. I got sent home being told it was all just in my head, that it was anxiety and depression. Eventually being diagnosed with RRMS it all started to make sense. It has been a year and half since that first relapse and in that time I have had 8 in total so I’ve opted to go for Lemtrada as my drug of choice.

hi michael it’s not easy to identify my second attack because it appears that i’d been having them for years! anyway it happened as i was seeing a neurologist, i went on holiday to greece and my body went haywire. on returning home i was put on a 3 day course of IV steroids, then passed on to an ms specialist neuro. i was introduced to my ms nurse and decided to have copaxone. i’m now on tecfidera. carole x
