Hi there! I’ve been on a rather scary and quite heavy health journey for the past year now. My symptoms stared with a random cold sensation on my right ankle. This led me to believe I may be dealing with circulation issues but nothing else has pointed in that direction. Over time, the cold sensation spread out, affecting my entire right side (face to foot), and has morphed into a variety of other sensations. My right arm and leg feel incredibly heavy at all times to the point where lifting either is difficult and rather uncomfortable. I have also come to experience pins and needles, burning sensations, and sharp stabbing pains. Increasingly, when I bend, reach, or turn, I experience a sharp tightness around my torso. There are times when I simply can’t handle any sensation along my right side. I have been dizzy for quite some time, experienced flutters in my ears, felt pressure/pain behind my eye, and have pretty constant headaches. I have joked that lately I feel like all I do is pee. I feel noticably worse when I’m overheated and when it’s raining. I’ve dealt with anemia and am no stranger to extreme fatigue. I have experienced random muscle spasms as well as chest pain.
I’m finally getting to see the neurologist next week, and as I prepare for the appointment, have been researching what I can. I’ve wondered if it’s a b12 deficiency, migraine related, MS, and most recently, if I could have a spinal cord injury. I came across TM, and saw that when affecting only one side of the body, it could progress into MS. I have had lots of blood work and testing that has come back normal and have genuinely struggled to grasp what’s going on with me. When I read about other’s experiences, my heart breaks for what they’re going through, and I question the severity of what I’m facing because I haven’t dealt with paralysis or vision issues. Because of that, a very big part of me is expecting the neurologist to not have any answers for me. I just want to make sure I’m covering all reasonable bases when I finally see him. I’m perfectly content to not receive a TM or MS diagnosis, but I’ve admittedly felt incredibly helpless during this season. I suppose I’m just looking to see if anyone else has experienced anything like what I’ve shared? Does this sound like it could be a case of partial TM?
