Cog Fog? Memory Probs?

In my copious spare time, I have been working on a package to train the skill of mental rotation.
This is: the ability to recognise a character/symbol/whatever when it is rotated to a different orientation.
There is some evidence that this is related to short term memory, and the idea is that by training the skill, one may set up new neural pathways in the brain. From this, if the setting up of new pathways is established, it may carry over beyond just memory.

As is, the trainer is a set of files: either text, or self-running Powerpoint shows.
This is not seen as a commercial venture. I am planning to offer this to the members of those few forums that matter to me.
So, if anyone wants to try the package, PM me with an e-mail address, and I will mail it to you.
Just remember that it needs a PC with Powerpoint installed (it will not work on PPC Apples, and I don’t have an Intel Apple to even try it).

That sounds really helpful, & i guess it could even have commercial legz? js a thought,

happy trails, julien,

I’ve signed up.

It sounds excellent Geoff. Sadly I live in a world where Apple reign supreme. We no longer own a PC of any type. Else I’d have happily have given it a go.

I really do not want to see it go commercial, Jules.
I know it is not much protection, but that is why I stuck a copyright notice onto every file.
It was prompted by observing a Parkinsons victim (my wife) and a copy is waiting for her Parkinsons nurse (who also does MS) who I discussed the idea with in the first place.
I can see ways it could be improved, but without a good programmer I would have to try to do it myself, and I have not written any code for about 25 years.

We all live in a world where Apple reigns supreme Sue.

It is just that more people have gone for the inferior system over the years (says he, tongue in cheek, sitting at a desk with a Windows machine and a Apple on it).
