Clinically isolated syndrome & critical illness cover

Hi, I have critical illness cover, taken out prior to any investigations relating to MS. Recently I have been diagnosed with clinically isolated syndrome of demyelination. I would like to hear advice on whether I should tell my insurance company of this at this point or wait for potential future MS diagnosis, because:

  1. I am wondering if they pay out for CIS? (Policy says MS and CIS is an MS pathway is my thinking)

  2. If I haven’t got a full MS diagnosis will CIS now impact any future claim?

Experience and knowledge welcomed, thanks all

They would only pay out for MS as not CLS leads to MS.
