Advice needed please

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for advice if anyone would be so kind.

I am still in the process of diagnosis. I have had a positive LP and multiple lesions on my brain but negative VEPS & SSEPS.

I have an appointment on the 6th April coming up to discuss with neurologist.

for the last 2 weeks I have had increasing numbness tingly that started mainly in my left leg but is now in both.

It hasn’t got as far as my groin yet so no toilet issues yet.

I don’t know what to do my GP can’t help

Please advise?

The best thing you can do is keep a diary, recording all your symptoms, to show the neurologist in April.

And the second best thing is to take your partner, family member or a friend with you to the appointment. There will be a lot of information flying around and it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be able to take it all in.

Two heads are better than one.

Your GP can’t do anything much until he’s seen the neurologist’s report and knows what course of treatment is being recommended.

Best wishes,

Anthony is absolutely right. Start keeping a diary (see if you can remember back in time too) with details of when symptoms began, how long they lasted and whether anything has not got better.

At least you’ve not got long to wait for the appointment.

Best of luck.
