ache

Hi I have been on here loads. I dont hve MS, however I have symptoms very much like MS. Been given betablockers for Basilar Migraine, been on them 1 week and I am still the same…Feel like I am always moaning and GP does not seam to understand. I told her about the chronic pain I have in my arms, hands, figers and wrists. Also stiffness in them and my legs.

She said she hates the words Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, however she said she will see me in 4weeks and review how I am. I feel exhausted with this pain, and feel I am going mad…I want to get better, but feel I keep hitting a brick wall.

Can anymore help?

Jan

Hi Jan,

If you suffer chronic fatigue syndrome youll have to learn to pace, yet resting up too much can also make you stiff and youll ache all over. Ive found distraction by hobby or socialising lifts the mood, and hence the rest of the body. No idea how it works but it does.

In the meantime, remember, rest, exercise, or do something practical, rest again, then set your sights on doing something you love. Its reprogramming your mind to do things in small batches and rest up in between.

Its not easy but we have to keep going and try fit in the things we like so our lives are not full of negatives. Yes pain can drain, but only if we allow it to.

take care,

Thanks Bren,

Pacing myself is something I will have to learn to do…I did some ironing today just a few items, and I was worn out. So I rested for half hr and then went back. It is so hard when you are use to running around after everyone!!

Only time will tell, and I am going to get better.

Hi, snap! I dont have a dx either. Just had LP results back and it`s looking normal.

Just wondering if you`ve ever discussed being referred to hospital by GP?

Rest up and take it steady, yeh?

luv Pollx

Hi Poll, Yes I have been referred to both ENT and Neuro…MRI was non specfic so Neuro wanted to wait and see. The ENT Consultant told me I have Basilar Migraine, you dont always have headaches, you can suffer dizzyness, vertigo, fatigue… its the constant pain that really hurts and exhaustes me.

Would love to go back to work, but I am so unpredictuable with this.
