A sudden absence of a symptom

Probably nothing to do with ms (not diagnosed), but scratching my head to explain a sudden absence of a symptom that I have had for several years - nocturia - needing to get up at least two or three times a night to urinate. Suddenly about three weeks ago it stopped affecting me abruptly and now I can easily go without rising until 7am without strong urge or discomfort every single day, which is really great in one way but . . . whats going on? The only things I can think my be connected is my running out of Tamsulosin a few weeks earlier, but I would have thought that would make things worse (relaxes the prostate). Also started a new diabetes medication Januvia (Sitagliptin) maybe a couple of weeks earlier, but if it had such a marked effect, I would have thought it would be being sung from the rafters. Wondered if I was retaining, but checked with catheter after morning pee and only about 130 ml left. No swollen ankles. Not noticeably drinking less. Not as if it has been hot enough to sweat it out. Anybody had this?

I haven’t needed to get up during the night since I started taking Amitriptyline, I read that they also give it to children who wet the bed. Discussing this with others who also take Amitriptyline it seems not to have this effect on everyone but a happy side effect for me and (some) others.

I have taken Amitriptyline at a very low dose (5g) for a couple of years to help with sleep and jerks but cant have anything to do with this very recent change.
