A little bit more progress tomorrow 👍

I’m off to see an Immunology consultant at the John Radcliffe in Oxford at 9am tomorrow.

One of my blood tests showed very low Immunoglobulin levels a couple of months ago so, this is a final check before I start Kesimpta.

Then, I’m off to my brother’s place to spend some time with my Mum and my Nieces.

It should be a good day.

Take care all :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

No idea what that is, but I hope you now have more of it if more of it is what you need. The things we find ourselves having to find out about!

Very true Alison.

I’ve found myself learning about all sorts of new things so far.

As far I can understand it is that the Immunoglobulins are the antibodies (or a particular type of antibody)that the DMT will supress so, they want to make sure that they’re not too low to start with.

I’ve also learned that consultants need a wallop with a thesaurus when they’re speaking to me

Well bless the little articles, and may they thrive and prosper.

Well, that wasn’t too bad at all :+1:

The consultation took about 2 hours - mainly a chat about my medical history and any past illnesses in the family then he went over my recent test results, felt the glands in my neck and arm pits, then had a listen to my chest and back with his stethoscope. Checked my heart rate by holding my wrist (quite an old fashioned examination). He said that, all things considered, I’m actually in pretty good shape (that was good to hear)

Then a urine and blood sample. The results should be back in a month. All in all, a pretty good day :slightly_smiling_face::+1:.

Glad all went well Jon.

I’m definitely no medical expert, but a month for the results seems long time.

Thankyou mate :+1:

I don’t mind the wait. This whole thing is a bit of a waiting game. It took 3years for my diagnosis so, I’ve learned to be patient.

I might receive a follow up call when the results are in or, they’ll go straight to my neurology consultant.

Like my ol’ grandad used to say - hurry up and slow down

All the best Mac :+1:

I like the sound of your grandfather Jon.

Though i’m going a-bit to slow at the minute, it’s taking me two months too tile a floor 4.1m x 2m ( roughly 13’.6" x 6’.6" in old money ) . My wife starting too give me those wifey looks that they throw when they aren’t happy  .

Good luck mate.
